Merry Christmas and Happy New Year
Christmas is a warm and cheerful holiday. Family and friends get together to celebrate a wonderful occurrence. Christ the Savior of the World was born roughly 2000 years ago on a cold dreary day. Or was it a warm summer day? Or maybe a crisp Fall day. December 25 is not the actual day of His birth. One scientist, Dave Reneke, believes that Jesus was born on June 17 in the year 2 B.C. because he believes the "Star of Bethlehem" was Venus and Jupiter coming together to create a Very Bright Light! Other scientist think it happened in October of the year 7 B.C. when Saturn and Jupiter come together to create the bright light which could have been the "Star of Bethlehem." Also, 'the shepards where watching over their flocks at night' would indicate spring and not winter. The Roman Catholic Church decreed that December 25th would be the day to celebrate the birth of Christ. They probably had many reasons for this date, such as the winter solstice happens around that time. Also, it is when Roman pagans celebrated their diety Saturn. https://www.livescience.com/42976-when-was-jesus-born.html & http://christinprophecy.org/articles/when-was-jesus-born/
No one really knows when Christ was born. But, does it really matter? Not at all in my opinion.
